Wilmer Meidinger son of Albert C. and Emma (Schwindt) Meidinger was born July 20, 1935 on the family farmstead 10 miles north of Zeeland, ND. He was baptized at New Kassel Reformed Church rural Zeeland, ND and was confirmed at the Grace E & R Church in Wishek, ND. Wilmer attended rural school in the Zeeland, ND area.

Wilmer was united in marriage to Wilma Hagel on October 5, 1956 at the Wishek Baptist parsonage. They lived with Wilmer's parents for the first two years of their marriage. In the fall of 1958, they moved to the Herb and Orlina Wiest farm. They farmed there for four years. In the fall of 1962 they purchased the Uncle Otto Meidinger farm. They lived there until 1998 when they retired and moved to Wishek.

Wilmer was proud to be a hard working farmer. He especially loved his horses. He also liked woodworking, playing accordion and cards, and watching westerns and polka party shows on TV. After he retired he gardened and played pool. He always enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

Wilmer was very active in the church. He was an elder, deacon, usher and member of the nominating committee. He was very instrumental in the fundraising campaign for the church building addition in 2003.

Wilmer is survived by his children; Jennifer (Edward) Peplinski, Jamestown ND, Pete (Darcy) Meidinger, Wishek ND, Kimberly (Tom) Lovik, Wishek ND, Roxane Meidinger, Fargo ND, Suzanne (Joseph) Wald, Wishek ND, and Keith (Kim) Meidinger, Zeeland ND.

His grandchildren, Adam Meidinger, Wishek, ND, Sara (Randy) Kollman, Jamestown, ND, Patricia (Justin) Finck, Lehr, ND, Brandon (Whittney) Lipp, Wishek, ND, Shannon (Max) Eiseman, Bismarck ND, Emily (Brad) Slade, Woodburn, OR, Matthew (Crystal) Lovik, Wahpeton ND, Paul Meidinger, Fargo ND, Kayla Ennen, Lincoln, ND, Kelly Wald, Lincoln, ND, Karly Wald, Mohall, ND, Kathryn and Kelsey Meidinger, Bismarck ND, Adrianna Meidinger, Fargo ND, Kaleb and Kalvin Meidinger, Zeeland ND.
