The funeral for Wayne R. Halverson, Wishek, North Dakota will be held Thursday, March 1, 2018 at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wishek, ND at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2018, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Wishek, ND. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.

Wayne Robert Halverson, son of Ronald and Jeanine (Mueller) Halverson was born November 28, 1985, at Wishek, ND. He grew up and attended school at Wishek, ND and graduated from Wishek High School in 2004. He attended Moorhead Technical Collage, obtaining his degree in auto mechanics. Wayne has always been quick to please and has been in the service industry from babysitting to carrying groceries to CNA for many years. Through hard work and dedication, he achieved his lifelong dream of co-owning a diesel mechanic shop in Wishek in 2015. Wayne met the true love of his life and best friend, Erin Dooley, of Casselton, ND in 2007. She was locked out of her apartment and he lived across the hall so, being Wayne, he lent a helping hand. They were wed on August 28, 2010. They lived in West Fargo and Moorhead a short time before settling in their dream home in Wishek. Their beautiful daughter, Jaden Roze, was born on August 21, 2015. Wayne spent every precious hour he could with Jaden and Erin, whether camping, boating, hunting or ice fishing. Wayne also had many people who called him his best friend. He was always there for them no matter what. His laugh, presence and love will be greatly missed.

Wayne lost his life on February 24, 2018, while snowmobiling with family and friends in Island Park, Idaho. He was 32 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Erin (Dooley) Halverson; his 2-1/2-year-old daughter Jaden and their expected baby due in October; mother, Jeanine (Tim) Wagner of Wishek; father, Ronald Halverson, Missouri; one sister, Angie (Jeremy) Vliem and her two sons; two brothers Tyler (Mayensi) Wagner, Aurora, CO; and Dustin (Teresa) Wagner, Fargo, ND; grandparents, Vangie Mueller and Russel Halverson.
