The funeral for Virgil Bjur, Kulm, North Dakota will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Kulm Assembly of God Church at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held Monday, February 1, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Kulm, ND. Burial will be at Swede Township Cemetery.

Virgil Lyle Bjur, son of Caleb and Eleanor (Nyland) Bjur was born July 11, 1933 on the Jacob Bjur farm north of Kulm. He attended Swede Township #4 country school north of Kulm, ND. Virgil attended Kulm Baptist Church. Virgil married Darlene Woehl November 17, 1957 at the Berlin Baptist Church. Virgil and Darlene farmed, milked and raised cattle NW of Kulm. He served as a board member of Farmers Union Oil Co., Norden Township and Kulm Country Club. Virgil enjoyed golfing, hunting, softball, snowmobiling, ice fishing and baseball.

Virgil died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. He was 82 years old.

Virgil is survived by his sisters, Joyce (Arley) Anderson, Kulm, ND; Arlene Hamlin, Kulm, ND; Harriet (Calvin) Schlecht, Porter, MN and Elaine (Lloyd) Gackle, Fargo, ND; his brother, Verlye Bjur, Kulm, ND; his brother-in-law, Darwin (LaVone) Woehl, Lodi, CA and 30 nieces and nephews.
