The funeral service for Violet Kaseman will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 10:30 AM at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, ND. Visitation will be held Monday, November 18, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. Burial will be at St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery, Wishek, ND. Violet died Saturday, November 16, 2019 at CHI St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, ND. She was 88 years old.

Violet Meidinger, daughter of Leopold and Pauline (Eckman) Meidinger, was born on June 18, 1931 near Zeeland, ND. Violet grew up on the family farm and received her elementary education in the Strasburg District. She continued to live and work on the family farm until her marriage to Elmer Kaseman on September 11, 1949 at the New Kassel Reformed Church, rural Zeeland. Following their marriage they moved to the Kaseman family farm, where they raised grains and livestock. In 1985, they moved to Wishek but continued to farm until Elmer's death in 1990.

Violet was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church where she was active in WELCA and quilting for missions. She also served on the Beaver Valley Golf Club Board, where she was treasurer of the Ladies Organization. Violet was a member of the Ambassadors of the Wishek Nursing Home, where she served as a volunteer.  She enjoyed socializing with friends and family, sewing, quilting, and playing cards.  Her family will treasure memories made while enjoying kuchen and strudels.

Violet is survived by her children, Marlene (Allyn) Sapa, Bismarck, Norma (Marvin) Voller, Cambridge, MN, Lee Ann (Tom) Kuntz, Brentwood, TN; son-in-law, Tom Dunlap, LaVerne, CA; six grandchildren, Emily Sapa, Albany, CA, Amy (Neil) Dayal, Santa Barbara, CA, Bradley (Jessica) Dunlap, Mt. Juliet, TN, Brian Dunlap, Bath, NY, David (Kayla) Voller, Stewartville, MN, and Ashley Voller, Cambridge, MN; three great-grandchildren, Catherine Dunlap, Deven and Violet Dayal; brothers and sisters, Ruth Thurn, Wishek, Victor (Janice) Meidinger, Wishek, Verna (Gary) Lockwood, Austin, TX, James (Sharon) Meidinger, Wishek, Mary Lou Cornella, Hawthorne, NV, Walter (Marge) Meidinger, Fargo, Ruby (Ron) Hartman, Fargo, Don Meidinger, Ft Myers Beach, FL, Grace (Bill) Sufka, Andover, MN; brother-in-law, Larry Wald, Wishek; sister-in-law Julie Meidinger, Wamego, KS.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Kathleen, sister Linda, brother Gary, and two infant brothers.
