The funeral for Viola Ost of Kulm, ND will be Friday, November 13, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Congregational Church at Kulm, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Kulm Congregational Cemetery, Kulm, ND.

Viola Dallman was born November 25, 1925 to John and Martha (Widmer) Dallman at Fredonia, ND. She grew up and attended country school and graduated from Fredonia High School. Viola attended Business College for two years before working at the Q & R Clinic in Bismarck, ND for 13 years. She returned home in 1950 to help her parents. Viola worked at the Post Office at Fredonia, ND. Viola married Edmund F. Ost May 26, 1961 at Kulm, ND by Pastor Clarence Knoepfle. Viola retired from the Postal Service in 1985 and moved to Kulm in May of 1985. Edmund died in 2003. Viola was a member of the Zion Methodist Church where she was organist, choir member and Sunday school member. She was active in the Senior Citizens Choir.

Viola died Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Prince of Peace Care Center at Ellendale, ND. She was 89 years old.

Viola is survived by her two brothers-in-law, Oscar Ost, Fargo, ND , Wilbert Gutschmidt, Gackle, ND and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother. Sign online guestbook and share memories at www.dahlstromfuneralservice.com.
