Victor Feist, 91, of Zeeland, ND, died December 8, 2024, at the Wishek Living Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 10:30 AM at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Zeeland. Visitation will be held Friday, December 13, 2024, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM with a rosary/vigil service at 7:00 PM at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Burial will take place at St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery.
Victor was born September 16, 1933, in Zeeland to Joseph and Malonia (Malsom) Feist. He was the youngest of seven children. Victor grew up on a farm north of Zeeland, until he was in the sixth grade when he moved to Hague with his parents and his brother Bill. He attended school in Hague until the Eighth grade. At the age of 17 Victor went to work for his sister and brother-in-law Josephine and John Schatz on their farm. While attending a polka and waltz dance, Victor met the love of his life Lucretia Mitzel. Victor and Lucretia were married September 12, 1960, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Zeeland. Together they settled on a farm south of Zeeland where they raised their 3 daughters, ran a dairy operation and farmed for over 35 years. Victor also worked for Wishek Steel for eight years before retiring.
Victor enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and dancing and listening on the radio to polkas and waltzes. Victor's favorite time of year was the Christmas season. He loved putting up Christmas decorations, especially his nativity scene. Victor was devoted to his catholic faith and family and will be missed by many.
Victor is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lucretia, Zeeland; two daughters, Donata (Scott) Polzin, Rochert, MN and Anita (Terry) Clark, Falls City, NE; four grandchildren, Joshua Domino, Ashley (Ross) Walch, Emily (Cody) Cochran and Abbey Clark; step grandchildren Zach (Denia) and Emma (Ethan).
He was preceded in death by his daughter Annette Feist; parents, Joseph and Malonia Feist; father and mother-in-law, Simon and Anne Mitzel; son-in-law, Curtis Domino; brothers, Adam (Kathryn) Feist, Ben (Cathrine) Feist and William (Delores) Feist; sisters, Sister Emmanuel Feist O.S.B., Hilda (Andrew) Hulm and Josephine (John) Schatz.
