The funeral services for Veronica Fettig, 84, Napoleon, ND will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Napoleon. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 12, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Napoleon. Veronica passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on October 9, 2012 at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo, ND. Burial will be at the St. Philip Neri Catholic Cemetery.

Generously sharing the gifts from her hands and heart, she skillfully wove four generations of family members together, one to another, building a life-time of memories. While baking, canning and sewing brought joy into her life, she went about her daily routine, never considering it to be work. Her hands lovingly played the piano and prepared for camping trips with her grandchildren. Her Christmas cookies reminded us of her kindness and her many talents. Over the years she welcomed outside visitors to our community, while operating the Fettig Motel.

Her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family. Carrying her memory forward are her husband, Joseph, her Children Gerald Fettig, Sharon (Daniel) Shemon, Alaqua Cummings, Kevin (Colleen) Fettig, Lynn (Kathy) Fettig, and Norma Dockter and Grandchildren Nicky (Todd) Bailey, Aaron and Zachary Shemon, Braelynn (Greg) Yerington, Bradley (Debralee) Fettig, Morgan Cummings, Courtney (Henry) Santos, Annie Fettig, Lynsey (Jayden) Anderson, Chelsie (Cornelio) Flores, Aric (Ashley) Fettig, Sara (Scott) Bramell, Cameron, Matthew and Katie Dockter, Great-grandchildren Taylor, Brooklynn, Michael, Kendall, Arianna, Kai, Quinton, Treyton and Emma, Brothers Ramy (Rosemary) Wangler and Wendelin (Marcella) Wangler. Veronica was preceded in death by her parents Wendelin W. and Mary Eva Wangler, her sister Isabelle and her son Michael Allen.

The family wishes to acknowledge Dr. Preston Steen and the skilled staff at the Roger Maris Cancer Center for their care and compassion. The family would also like to offer a special thank-you to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
