The funeral for Tom P. Finck, Lehr, North Dakota will be Monday, July 28, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church at Lehr, ND. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. Burial will be at Emmanuel Cemetery, rural Lehr, ND.

Thomas Phillip Finck was born May 10, 1953 the son of Paul and Freda (Kienzle) Finck. He grew up on the family farm north of Lehr with five siblings and attended Lehr Public School where he graduated in 1971. Upon graduation he joined the National Guard and served his country. On October 25th, 1974 he married Corrine Kay Bader and purchased a farmstead north of Lehr, where they began their farming and ranching operation, lasting throughout his lifetime. Tom was an active member of the Lehr United Methodist Church. Spending time with his grandchildren, children and wife was very special to Tom. He looked forward to camping at Mundt Lake and fishing with family and friends. His favorite early morning routine was drinking coffee in the garage, calls to the neighbors and going over the plans for the day with his son and wife. In the evenings Tom would drive the "block", checking the cattle and crops, which he enjoyed up until to his very last days. He looked forward to every fall when he would hunt and socialize with his buddies at his beloved hunting shack. One of his favorite past times was "bugg'in" his grandkids.
Tommy, as he was known to his family and close friends, passed on to his eternal home on Thursday, July 24th, 2014 after a brave battle with cancer at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. He was 61 years old.
Tom is survived by Corrine, his loving wife of 40 years, Lehr ND; one son, Justin (Trish) Finck, Lehr ND; and three daughters; Missy Kelsch, Bismarck ND; Anita (Justin) Finck-Pearson, Bismarck ND and Tiffi (Jason Kuntz), Lehr ND; his pride and joy were his grandchildren, Kolton, Cole, Paige, Lakyn and baby-to-be Finck; one brother, Rick (Loretta) Finck, Jamestown, ND; two sisters, Marlys Wanner, Wishek, ND and Bonnie Dewald, Wishek, ND; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Freda, brother Darry and sister Darlene, two brothers-in-law, Arron Dewald and Willie Wanner.
