Theodore Wanner, 87, of Wishek, ND formerly of Sturgis, SD, died August 30, 2024 at the Wishek Living Center. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 6, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Feist Funeral Home, Wishek. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at St. Luke Cemetery, Wishek.

Theodore was born September 2, 1936 in Bismarck, ND to Fred and Katharina (Breitbarth) Wanner. He grew up on a farm near Burnstad, ND and graduated from Wishek High School in 1954. He went on to attend Ellendale Teachers College. He taught school for a few years in McPherson County, SD. He enlisted in the US Army in 1961, where he served in Korea for a couple years and was honorably discharged in 1967.  He worked as a technician for the Ft. Meade Veterans Hospital in Sturgis until he retired. During retirement Theodore continued to live in Sturgis until moving to the Wishek Living Center in December of 2021.

He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and had a passion for cars.

Theodore is survived by his sister-in-law, Leah Berg, Bismarck; and his nieces and nephews, Maxine Meidinger, Myra Meidinger, Terry (Debbie) Hochhalter, Mary (Gerard) Schwab, Sherry (Ed) Feist, Sharlene (Wayne) Bauer and Tim (Patty) Wanner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Benjamin Wanner; sisters, Lillian Meidinger and Verna Hochhalter; brothers-in-law, Paul Meidinger and Calvin Hochhalter; and lifelong companion, Bud Butler.
