The funeral for Steven Weispfenning, Fredonia, ND will be Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Fredonia, ND. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Kulm, ND. Burial will be at the Martin Luther Lutheran Cemetery, Fredonia, ND.

Steven Mark Weispfenning was born October 25, 1955 at Jamestown, ND to Milton and Edna (Entzi) Weispfenning. He was baptized on Christmas Day of 1955. Steve was confirmed at Martin Luther Lutheran Church March 22, 1970. He was raised in Fredonia, ND and attended elementary school there and graduated from Kulm High School in 1973. Steve married Patty Buchholz on June 7, 1975 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church at Fredonia. Steve drove truck for Medina Cheese Plant and the Kulm and Lehr elevators before taking over his dad's excavating business, which he's continued for the last 35 years. Steve served on several boards including Fredonia Rural Fire Department as Fire Chief, church council, president of the Economic Development Board and cemetery board. In his free time he loved, fishing and spending time with his two grandchildren.

Steve died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. He was 60 years old.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Patty, Fredonia, ND; his daughters, Stacey (David) Herrmann, Kulm, ND and Stephanie (Alan) Roehrich, Devils Lake, ND; two grandchildren, McKenzie and Dawson Herrmann, Kulm, ND; his mother, Edna Weispfenning, Fredonia, ND; one brother, Glen (Bev Hawn) Weispfenning, Fredonia, ND; two sisters, Barbara (Leo) Johnson, Kulm, ND and Jolene Biloff, Jamestown, ND; mother and father-in-law, Ralph and Arlene Buchholz, Lehr, ND; sister-in-law, Terry (John) Schock, Jamestown, ND; two brothers-in-law, Bobby (Carleen) Buchholz and Billy (Kari) Buchholz, all of Lehr, ND. In addition, he will be missed by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Milton and paternal and maternal grandparents.
