The funeral for Stella M. Nagel 74, Lehr, ND will be Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Methodist Church at Lehr, ND. Visitation will be held Friday from noon to 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 8:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. Burial will be at the Lehr City Cemetery, Lehr, ND.

Stella Kauk daughter of Peter and Margaretha (Schlickenmayer) Kauk was born October 22, 1935 at Lehr, ND on the family farm. She attended rural schools and graduated from Lehr High School in 1952. Stella married Harvey Nagel on September 26, 1954 at Lehr, ND. To this union were born two children, Carma Lou and Gary. Harvey and Stella owned and operated the family farm, which has been in the Nagel family for three generations. Stella was always helping others before herself, taking in and caring for nieces for several years. She was noted for her good cooking, especially her homemade noodle soup. Stella was a great hostess to anyone who came to her home.

Stella passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. She was 74 years old.

Stella is survived by her husband Harvey, Lehr, ND; her son, Gary Nagel, Lehr, ND (special friend, Joni Dodds); three grandchildren, Jason (Melinda) Nagel, Columbus, OH; Kyle Nagel, Lehr, ND and Lynsey Nagel, Bismarck, ND; one great-granddaughter, Viola Lyn Nagel, Columbus, OH; four brothers, Adolph (Bernice) Kauk, Spearfish, SD; Raymond (Hilma) Kauk, Napoleon, ND; Maynard (Yvonne) Kauk, Blaine, MN; Eddie (Verna) Kauk, Bismarck, ND; one sister, Anna Grignon, Minneapolis, MN and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Carma Lou, four brothers, Walter, Calvin, John, and Ted; three sisters, Loretta, Ida and Otillia; three brother-in-laws; one sister-in-law and four brothers and sisters in infancy.
