Selma Nord, 85, Napoleon, ND, passed away October 17, 2021 at the Napoleon Care Center. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 2pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, Napoleon. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 21 from 5-7pm at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon. Burial will be held at the Napoleon City Cemetery. Selma was born on May 7, 1936 to Jens and Ellan (Peterson) Jensen, Napoleon. She was raised on a farm SE of Napoleon. She attended country school and later Napoleon High School. She married Raymond Nord on September 21, 1952 in Kintyre, ND. They farmed and raised their family SE of Napoleon until 1981, when they retired and moved to Napoleon.

Selma enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends, gardening and planting flowers. She was active in cooking for the Golden Age Club, Meals on Wheels program and many weddings.

She is survived by her son Chuck (Bernie) Nord, Napoleon; daughter Susan Nord (George), Napoleon; daughter Nancy Nord, Napoleon; son Lynn (Lori) Nord, Minot; son-in-law Ed Baumann, Bismarck; grandchildren Nicole Nord, Jeremy Nord, Christopher Nord, Alicia Nord, Tracey (Eric) Jeide, and Andrea (Jimmy) Smith, Tyler Nord, Rebecca Nord, and Emily Baumann; great grandchildren Gracie, Tucker, Reghan, Carter, Kaydence and Oriana; sister-in-law Ruby Jensen, Yakima, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; daughter, Pat Baumann, grandchildren, Shawn Nord and Eric Baumann; brothers, Al, Knute, and Lewis; sisters, Grace, Evelyn, and Gladys.
