Rosemary Wolf, 89, of Linton, ND, passed away on November 2, 2021 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 6 th at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Linton. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 5 th from 4-7pm with a Rosary/Vigil Service at 7:00 PM at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Rosemary was born on July 14, 1932, the oldest girl and the fifth of eleven children, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Bosch) Kramer on a farm in the Rosenthal area. She attended country school through the eighth grade. Rosemary married Alvin C. Wolf on May 26, 1953 at St. Michael Catholic Church. They lived and farmed in the St. Michaels area until moving in to Linton in January 2005. Alvin died on March 7, 2009 and Rosemary continued to reside in Linton.
Rosemary was a farm wife in every aspect and she truly was Alvin's right hand man. Rosemary was also raising chickens and geese, milking cows, in the hayfield and in the truck or on the tractor.
Rosemary held various positions off the farm to include school cook, CCD Instructor, selling Avon and Tupperware and working at Rosenbluth Travel. She was also a 4-H leader, Farmers Union Camp leader and delegate, EMT and was the Emmons County Food Pantry Coordinator for many years. In addition to being a mother to her own family, she was a mother to numerous foster children over several years.
Rosemary enjoyed cooking and baking, sewing, playing cards, quilting and being with family and friends. Rosemary was past member of St. Michael Catholic Church and currently a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Linton. She was a member of the Christian Mothers, Catholic Daughters, Catholic Order of Foresters and Emmons County Interagency.
Rosemary is survived by her two daughters, Gloria Wolf and her husband George Lawler, Linton and Melissa Wolf-Tveito and her husband Dan Tveito, Linton; grandchildren, Adam (Kelly) Lawler, Horace, ND, Renee` (Preston) Leier and their children Ashtyn, Pyper, Mason and Griffin, Linton, Mark (Alicia) Lawler and their children Ian and Elliana, Linton, Sarah Lawler, Bloomington, IN and Andrea Lawler, Bismarck, ND; four sisters, Johanna Martin, Fargo, ND, Katherine Nagel, New Holstein, WI, Elizabeth "Betty" Welk, Plainfield, IL, Theresa Phillips, South Milwaukee, WI; sister-in-law, Alice Kramer, Linton and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvin; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Peter, Aloysius (Katie), Eugene "Gene" (Eva), George, Andrew "Andy" (Alvina) and John; brothers-in-law, Ray Martin and Paul Welk.
In lieu of flowers and memorials the family requests memorials be given to St. Anthony Catholic Church, Linton or St. Michael Catholic Church, rural Linton.
