Robert Braun, 69, passed on peacefully on March 27, 2021 at his home in Kulm, ND surrounded by his family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday. March 30, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND. Burial will be held following Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley. A prayer service will be held on Monday, March 29 ^th at 7:00 PM at Transfiguration Catholic Church. Robert "Bob" Braun was the third child born to Ed and Marie Braun on May 29, 1951 in a farmhouse near Hauge, ND.  He remained there with his parents, 3 brothers and one sister until the third grade, when they then moved to a farm South of Tappen.  Bob graduated from Tappen High School in 1969.

Bob's first job after high school was working on a dairy farm near Wishek.  He also tried his hand at building construction.  In the spring of 1970, he was drafted into the army and was stationed in Germany from 1970 to 1972.

In 1972 he was discharged from the army and went to work at Streeter Co-op Elevator.  It is there that he met the love of his life, Marilyn Schultes.  Bob and Marilyn were united in marriage on November 25, 1972.  Bob then went to work for Peavey Elevator in Jamestown and later was transferred to Nortonville, ND.  There they welcomed their first son Robert "Bobby" in November 1974.

Bob was then transferred to Peavey Elevator in Carter, MT.  It is there they were blessed with their second son, Eric in August 1977.  In 1979 they moved to Kulm, ND where Bob worked at the local elevator and they started a hog farm.  In March of 1982 they welcomed their first daughter Michelle.  Their youngest child, Sheila was born in June of 1985.   In 1992 Bob left the elevator and began working on the railroad which is where he remained till his retirement.  In the spring of 1997 flooding forced them to move off the farm South of Kulm and into town.

Bob loved spending time with his wife, kids and 15 grandchildren.   Some of the best times he had were when he could join his friends and family for a game, whether it was poker, pinochle, or parcheesi.  Bob enjoyed riding horse and preferred to watch westerns over anything else.  Bob was a member of the Kulm Fire Department.

Bob leaves behind his wife, Marilyn and four children:  Bob(Liz) Braun of Kulm, Eric(Holly) Braun of Litchville, Michelle(Kyle) Kukowski of Harvey and Sheila(Ross) Lindgren of Maddock and fifteen grandchildren: Zoe, Wyatt, Maxwell, Sophia, Olivia, Lane, Brooklyn, Alex, Jasmine, Klay, Kylie, Maggie, Emma, Ben and Will.  In addition, he leaves his three brothers: Ron(Phyllis) Braun of Bismarck, Don(Lori) Braun of Tappen, Francis(JoEll) of Napoleon and his sister Kathleen(Gary) Doll of Dawson and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was greeted in heaven by his parents, Ed and Marie Braun, his in-laws Clarence and Serena Schultes and his great nephew Austin Sona.
