Richard "Rick" Kasper Wald, 62, of Jamestown, ND passed away February 4, 2020 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Wishek, ND.  Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND.  Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Wishek, ND.

Rick was born on August 18, 1957 in Linton, ND to Anton and Helen (Unser) Wald. He was raised on a farm west of Wishek and graduated from Wishek High School in 1976.  He then worked for Rolfson Construction for a few years until moving to Minot, ND where he worked for Kmart for 19 years.  He then moved to Jamestown, ND and worked for the United States Postal Service for 22 years.

Rick enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas, working out, hunting, and most of all playing golf.  He was also an avid Minnesota Twins and Miami Dolphins fan.

Rick is survived by his brothers and sisters, Tom Wald, Wishek, ND; Tony (Polly) Wald, Bismarck, ND; Chuck (Anita) Wald, Rapid City, SD; Diane Schock, Michigan, ND; Dave (Lanette) Wald, Bismarck, ND; Tim Wald, Clearwater, FL; Linda (Scott) Senne, Ft. Myers, FL; and Bob (Tammi) Wald, Omaha, NE; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Jeannette Wald; and one brother-in-law, James Schock.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hillcrest Golf Course in Jamestown or St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Wishek.
