Obituary

The celebration of his life service for Richard Floyd Klettke, Kulm, ND will be held Monday, October 29, 2018 at the Kulm Congregational Church in Kulm, North Dakota on at 11:00 am.  Visitation will be held Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Kulm, ND.  Burial will be at the Kulm Congregational Cemetery.
Richard was born to Reinhold and Martha (Kalmbach) Klettke on July 25, 1929 in Dickey County, North Dakota.  He went to a country school in the Kulm area through the 8 th grade.  He then worked on the Klettke farm for the next few years.  He united in marriage to Jacqueline Moldenhauer on June 22, 1952.  They enjoyed riding Richard's Harley Davidson motorcycle.  They were blessed with a son, Kim and a daughter, Vicki. The couple farmed, and Richard also had a custom hay and building moving business.  In 1967 they moved from the farm into Kulm where Richard was employed at the local elevator and later worked for the City of Kulm.  Richard then worked for LaMoure County for many years as a road maintainer operator.  When Richard left his job at the county he continued to farm and drove school bus which he greatly enjoyed.  Richard enjoyed driving his Co-op tractor, driving his pickup, spending time out on the farm, being a Mr. Fix-it, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and grand kids.  He was a member of the Congregational Church in Kulm.
Richard Floyd Klettke passed away to be with the Lord on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Wishek Living Center, Wishek, North Dakota at the age of 89
Richard is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jacqueline, his son Kim (Carolyn) Klettke, his daughter, Vicki (Jim) Scepaniak, 3 grandchildren, Lucas Klettke (Kari), Brock Klettke (Jamie) and Mandy Scepaniak (Michael), and 6 great grandchildren.  Richard was preceded in death by his parents, older sister, Lorraine Janke and younger brother, Kenny Klettke.  Share memories and sign online guest book at www.dahlstromfuneralservic e.com.  Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Kulm, ND entrusted with arrangements.
