The funeral for Reuben Wentz, Napoleon, ND will be Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Zion United Methodist Church at Napoleon, ND. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon, ND. Burial will be at the Napoleon City Cemetery in the spring.


Reuben son of William and Margaret (Trautman) Wentz was born February 9, 1916 at rural Streeter, ND. He grew up and attended country school. Reuben married Helen Rau on April 21, 1950 at the Napoleon EUB parsonage, Napoleon, ND. They farmed on the family farm 20 miles NE of Napoleon raising grain and cattle. They moved into Napoleon in 1965. Reuben was a member of the United Methodist Church in Napoleon. He gifted money for a restaurant in Napoleon which is named "Reuben's". Helen died in August of 2006.

Reuben died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. He was 94 years old.

Reuben is survived by one sister, Elta Schauer-Iszler, Streeter, ND; one brother, Ervin Wentz, Philomath, OR and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and sisters in-law, Edward and Marie, Art and Alice, Elmer and Tillie; one sister in-law Alma Wentz and two brothers in-law, Allen Schauer and Milton Iszler.
