The funeral service for Raymond Zimmerman will be Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10:30 AM at First Baptist Church, Wishek, ND.  Visitation will be held Friday, November 8, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home Wishek, ND.  Burial will be at the Lehr Cemetery, Lehr, ND.

Raymond was born August 31, 1929 to Alex and Pauline (Kranzler) Zimmerman. He was raised and educated on a farm near Lehr, ND. Raymond married Delores Bader on October 5, 1950. They settled on a farm near Lehr where Raymond was a dedicated farmer who raised cattle and grain farmed. Raymond retired from farming in 2002 and in 2010 they moved to Wishek, ND.

He was a member of the Lehr Wildlife Club, winner of the State Plowing Contest for 5 years and an active member in 4-H.

Raymond enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling, playing cards, shooting pool, visiting with people and tinkering in his shop.

Raymond is survived by his wife Delores, Wishek; children, Wilbur (Wanda) Zimmerman, Lehr, Margie (Roger) Thompson, Jamestown, Doreen (Mike) Nielson, Golden Beach, OR and Randy (Tammy) Zimmerman, Bismarck; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and his sister Maxine (Ron) Kosel, Ellendale, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
