Obituary

The funeral for Raymond R. Klettke, Kulm, ND will be Sunday, June 27, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Kulm United Methodist Church, Kulm, ND. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Kulm, ND. Burial will be at Hillside Lutheran Cemetery, Kulm, ND.


Raymond Klettke, son of Henry and Emma (Hiller) Klettke was born March 24, 1921 at rural Kulm, ND. He was baptized October 30, 1921 at Gnadenfeld Congregational Church. He grew up and attended rural school in the area and was confirmed at the First Congregational Church at Merricourt, ND July 3, 1938. Ray farmed south of Kulm. Ray was a talented welder and inventor. He was always willing to repair farmer's equipment and /or build new equipment to suit the needs of the customer. Ray entered numerous inventions at the North Dakota Inventors Congress. His quiet mannerisms endured him to all who knew him. Ray entered Manor St. Joseph July 2004. As his Alzheimer's progressed he was transferred to the Prince of Peace Care Center at Ellendale, ND in May of 2005.


Ray died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the Prince of Peace Care Center of Ellendale, ND. He was 89 years old.

Ray is survived by a sister-in-law, Marie Klettke, Kulm, ND; two nephews, Marvin Klettke, Kulm, ND; Thomas Klettke, Jamestown, ND; one great niece, Amanda and one great nephew, Bobby Klettke; several cousins and a host of friends.
