The funeral for Raymond L. Berreth, Bismarck, ND will be Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Napoleon, ND. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon, ND. Burial will be at St. Philip Neri Catholic Cemetery, Napoleon, ND.

Ray Berreth son of John and Pauline (Mueller) Berreth was born April 4th, 1937 at Dawson, ND. He grew up and attended school in Dawson, ND graduating from Dawson High School in 1955. In October 1958 he married Bernie Mitzel of Napoleon and happily shared 56 years of marriage together. Ray worked in gas stations and managed clubs and his love for carpentry employed him most of his life until retiring in September 2013. In his pasttime Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching old westerns and game shows, playing bingo and computer games and working on circle word finds. Ray was a very kind and gentle man. He was a wonderful husband and provider for his family. He loved to joke around with people and laugh.

Ray passed away peacefully after many health issues August 2nd, 2014 at the Napoleon Care Center. He was 77 years old.

Ray will be so missed by his wife Bernie, his children, Rae (Bernie) Eckroth, Robert, John (Deann), Lori (Jim) Chase, Lee (Travis), Jody, Michael (Bob). Grandchildren, Jeremy, Cody, Amber, Nicole, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Amie, and Sean. He was a father figure to two precious granddaughters, Ashley (Dustin) Peyer and Amie Berreth. He also leaves 4 great grandchildren. Ray also leaves a brother Marlin (Donna) Berreth and brother-in-law Tony Mitzel. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his father and mother in law, Anton and Magdalena Mitzel, Grandson Justin, sister Delores Stroh and her husband Harold, and sisters-in-law Leona Mitzel and Marie Lees, brothers-in-law Leonard Mitzel and Dave Lees.
