The funeral service for Pearl Rott, 86 of Kulm, ND will be June 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church, Kulm with Pastor Linda Schauer officiating. Burial will be at Pomona Valley Cemetery, Kulm. Pearl went to her Heavenly home June 15, 2023 at Prairie Heights Healthcare, Aberdeen, SD.

Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. The service will be  live streamed on the funeral home's website.

Pearl M. Graff was born June 20, 1936 to John and Margaret (Pfeifle) Graff on a farm near Hosmer, SD. She grew up on various farms in the Hosmer and Leola SD area and worked for farm families as a young girl.

In 1952, Pearl moved to Ashley, ND to work at Reinie's Piggly Wiggly. She was united in marriage to Clarence Rott on August 4, 1957 at Zion Lutheran Church, Ashley. In 1961, they moved their trailer house to the Dave and Nettie Hauff farm south of Kulm to farm land that Dad Otto Rott purchased in 1937. In March of 1964, they moved to the south end of Main Street in Kulm and continued to grain farm. Pearl and Clarence worked side by side farming and operating Rott Dragline until Clarence's health no longer allowed him to work. After they quit farming, she worked at Fargo Assembly in Edgeley, ND until retired to care for Clarence the last 6 months of his life. She was a self-proclaimed homebody, who loved the home they built together, doing the majority of work themselves, along with help from loyal friends. They moved into their home on Christmas Eve, 1975. Pearl was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church as a Sunday school and VBS teacher, financial secretary, and Esther Circle member. She was also a member of a bowling league and the Jolly Homemaker's.

Pearl enjoyed gardening, knitting, entertaining, collecting cookbooks, and passed on her love of cooking to her children and grandchildren. Trying a new recipe was pure joy and you would never leave her home with an empty stomach. She enjoyed traveling to Medora, musicals in Minneapolis, Branson and Hawaii with her daughter and son-in-law's company, Montam Tours. Ironically, she passed away while they were on their Faith Family Friends Tour. She wished to have traveled more but was grateful for memories made.

In October of 2020, health issues required a move to Aberdeen, SD. She adjusted to Assisted Living as best she could and enjoyed Bingo, visiting with new friends and bus rides around town but lived for family and friends phone calls and visits, keeping up with those she loved. Tuesday was Chicken McNugget dates with Tammy to catch up on the latest family photos and news.

She will be forever missed by her son Tim (Gina) Rott, Ashley, ND and daughter Tammy (Monte)Wahl, Aberdeen, SD.

Grandchildren Alexander Rott, Tyler, MN, Aaron (Robin) Rott, Chippewa Falls, WI, Larissa (Alex) Entzie, Lehr, ND, Evan (Megan) Wahl, Ashley, ND and Jayden Wahl, Aberdeen, SD. Great Grandchildren Finley and Vesper Rott and Ian and Elliot Entzie. Brothers Harvey Graff and Jimmy Graff and numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence on May 24, 2006, her parents, John January 11, 1983 and Maggie February 6, 1995, grandson Eric John Wahl August 31, 1987, sister Arlene Rohrbach and brothers Reinie, Delbert, Allan and Marvin.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons Alexander and Aaron Rott, Evan and Jayden Wahl, Grandson-in-law Alex Entzie and Granddaughter-in-law Megan Wahl.

Honorary Pallbearers Granddaughter Larissa Entzie and Granddaughter-in-law Robin Rott, and Great Grandchildren Finley and Vesper Rott and Ian and Elliott Entzie.

Musicians Lucinda Malm and Pat Rutschke and Usher Neal Berntson. Special music by Tammy, Evan, and Jayden Wahl.
