The funeral for Pauline Scherr will be Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church at Napoleon, ND. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at St. Philip Neri Catholic Cemetery, Napoleon, ND.

Pauline was born November 23, 1923 at Denison, Texas, the second child of Homer & Eva (Hanna) Fitch. She was one of four children, older sister Juanita and two younger brothers Kenneth and Richard. Pauline attended Denison Public Schools. Pauline moved to Seattle WA to support the War Effort working at a Military Factory. While working on the second floor, she caught the interest of Ralph Scherr who happened to be working on the balcony above her. They had a whirlwind romance of two weeks and got married, July 10, 1943; they would have been married 69 years. Pauline and Ralph have seven children, Kenneth Ralph, Thomas, Paul, Juanita, Christine, Judy, and Mark. Pauline was a very proud Grandmother of 29 grandchildren and Great Grandmother of 33 great grandkids. She could remember all their names, and would ask about each one. The greatest tragedy to Pauline and the whole family was the death of the oldest grandchild, Kenneth Daniel (Kenny) Scherr in 1981 son of Ralph and Karen.

Pauline died Monday, March 19, 2012 at the Napoleon Care Center, Napoleon, ND. She was 88 years old.

Pauline's surviving family include: husband Ralph Scherr, her children and their spouses, Ken (Ralph) and Karen Scherr, Tom and Sylvia Scherr, Paul and Ann Scherr, Juanita and Joe Roerick, Christine and Garth Page, Judy Scherr and Rex Hoy, and Mark Scherr; 29 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Eva Fitch, her sister Juanita Bass, two brothers Kenneth and Richard Fitch, nephews Homer and JW Landers, in-laws Wendelin & Christina Scherr.
