The funeral for Pauline Schaffer, Wishek, North Dakota will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the United Church of Christ in Wishek, ND. Visitation will be held Monday, January 16, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Wishek, ND. Burial will be at the Wishek City Cemetery, Wishek, ND.

Pauline Pfeifle, daughter of Julius and Katherina (Marzolf) Pfeifle was born August 26, 1915 at Venturia, ND. She grew up in the Ashley and Danzig area and attended school at Danzig thru eighth grade. Pauline was confirmed at Ashley, ND on June 29, 1929. Pauline married Reinhold Schaffer October 20, 1935 in McIntosh County. They lived on a farm south of Wishek before moving into town in 1948. Pauline was a member of the United Methodist Church of Wishek, taught Sunday School and was a leader for the United Methodist Women. During camp at the Lehr Tabernacle she did the cooking for the campers. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, reading and doing puzzles in her pastime. Pauline also enjoyed playing the piano and organ and singing with her children.

Pauline died Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. She was 96 years old.

Pauline is survived by five daughters, Ramona (Ron) Eisenbarth, New Leipzig, ND; Marilyn (Walter) Eiseman, Bismarck, ND; Patricia (Waburn) Martin, Bismarck, ND; Connie Bertsch, Atlanta, GA; Wanda (Larry) Wiseman, Kansas City, MO; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Herbert (Betty) Pfeifle, Lodi, CA; Raymond Pfeifle, Lodi, CA; one sister Ida Schmitt, Lodi, CA; one sister-in-law, Martha Pfeifle, Lodi, CA.
