Oscar Kemmet, 92, of Wishek, ND, died January 9, 2025 at the Wishek Living Center. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 13, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Faith Community Church, Wishek. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM with a prayer service at 3:00 PM at Feist Funeral Home, Wishek. Burial will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Venturia.

Oscar was born May 1, 1932 to Edward and Lea (Meidinger) Kemmet. Oscar married June Roth on August 28, 1955. They were married 63 years.

Oscar farmed his entire life and served on the Wishek Fire Department for 30 years.  He was a member of the Faith Community Church where he served as head usher for many years.  He was a member of the Wishek Eagles Club and Lions Club.  He moved to town in 1992 but continued to farm until 2000.  However, he continued to help on the farm however he could for many more years.  After completely retiring from farming, he enjoyed a bit of woodworking or gardening and tinkering at the Danzig farm.  You would often find Oscar and June driving around ND or visiting and playing cards with friends.  (Often his kids wondered, "Where the 'heck' they'd start looking for them".)

He is survived by his four children, Pat (Dave) Badgley, Paulette (Ken) Huber, Wayne (Laurie) Kemmet and Jackie (Kordell) Bauer.  Eight grandchildren, David (Kristina) Badgley, Jason Badgley, Karista (Michael) Kaseman, Kasandra (Robbie) Wald, Jill (Corey) Berger, Michael (Erin) Kemmet, Sara (Brian) Albrecht and Kole (MiKaela) Bauer.  Fourteen great grandchildren, Anthony, Gavin and Blake Badgley; Olivia and Taylor Kaseman; Evelynn and Sofie Wald; Cain, Cam, Cruz and Chevelle Kemmet; Navey and Kove Albrecht; and Krew Bauer.  He is also survived by his sisters Mavis Dockter and Gladys Hauck; brother-in-law Dennis Olstad; nephews Terry and Curtis Dockter and Terry Ostad; nieces Tammy Hauck and Rita Greenlund.

Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Larry Kemmet, sister-in law Geneva Olstad, and brother-in-law Leonard Dockter.
