The funeral for Olga Kauk, Lehr, ND will be Monday, May 2, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church at Lehr, ND. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home at Wishek, ND. Burial will be at the Lehr City Cemetery, Lehr, ND.

Olga Olivia Rath, daughter of Daniel and Pauline (Maas) Rath was born November 26, 1919 at Parkson, SD. Soon after her birth, the family moved to the Lehr, ND area where Olga grew up and attended rural school. Olga received her teaching certificate by correspondence from NDSU at Fargo, ND. After receiving her teaching certificate, she taught for five years at Gackle, Fredonia and Lehr, ND. Olga married Theodore Kauk on December 1, 1947 at Napoleon, ND. After their marriage, the couple continued to live in the Lehr area and Olga continued teaching for three more years. After her teaching, she helped with the farming until they retired from farming on August 31, 2002 and moved to Ashley, ND. Olga was a member of Grace Lutheran Church at Lehr, ND. Olga enjoyed quilting, embroidering, sewing and serving with the Ladies Aid group at Grace Lutheran Church at Lehr, ND.

Olga died Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Ashley Medical Center, Ashley, ND. She was 91 years old.

Olga is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Nancy) Kauk, Midland, TX and Keith (Jenny) Kauk, Federal Way, WA; four grandchildren, Keri Kauk, Bill Bickham, Christian Contreras and Michael Contreras.
