Norman Mueller, 83, lifelong resident of Kulm, ND, passed away on Wednesday, June 30th, 2021, surrounded by family after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church, Kulm. Norman was born September 3, 1937 on the family farm south of Kulm, ND and spent his life farming.  His son Clint is the 4th generation of Muellers to live on the farmstead. Norman was in the Army National Guard from 1959 to 1964.  He briefly lived in Lead, SD as a young single man, and worked in the goldmine.  He moved back to Kulm to help with the family farm and married Jane in 1963.  In 1994, Jane and Norman became snowbirds and spent their winters in Arizona where they made many friends from all over the country and Canada.  In 2003, he retired from farming but continued to enjoy helping his son and offering him free (an often unsolicited) advice.

Norman enjoyed playing pool, hunting, fishing, camping, and socializing with friends.  He was a devout Christian and was an active member of several churches over the span of his life, where he enjoyed singing in the church. He liked to say "he could only carry a tune in a tool box."  Norman was quite handy with tools and often repaired his own machinery and built much of his own home. He was a hard worker and worked long hours at the farm.

Norman is survived by his wife, Jane; children, Clinten (Leanne) and Crystal (Lance); his siblings, Verna (Goehner) and Calvin; grandchildren, Sylvia (Gutierrez) and Steven and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Hulda (Uttecht) Mueller; siblings, Lorraine (Luck), Dennis, Ronnie, Peggy (King) and Curtis and grandson, Alex Strickland.

In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations to the Kulm Ambulance Service.
