Obituary

Neil Weber, 85, of Linton, ND, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 30, 2022 at his home with his family by his side. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 3 rd at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church, Linton. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 2 nd from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church. Burial will be held at Freudenthal Baptist Cemetery, west of Linton. Neil was born February 7, 1936 in Linton, ND to William and Martha (Kiemele) Weber. He was raised on a farm west of Linton and attended country school in the area up to the eighth grade. He then went to farm alongside his father for several years. In 1958 Neil enlisted in the US Army and served until 1960. He returned back to Linton where he worked for Bert Keller Construction until he and his brother Willie started Weber Brothers Construction, where he worked until he retired. Neil married Susie Lammert on November 7, 1964 at the First Baptist Church in Linton and to this union they were blessed with four children.

During his retirement years Neil enjoyed gardening, going to the farm and working cattle, wood working, watching his favorite TV show Wheel of Fortune, listening to gospel music and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. He had a passion for horses and Jesus and he was very well known for his faith, being a hard worker and always willing to give.

Neil is survived by his wife Susie Weber, Linton; one son, Ron Weber, Mandan; three daughters, Shari (Troy) Scherr, Linton, Kelli (Shawn) Burgad, Strasburg and Amy (Mike) Eberle, Mandan; grandchildren, Apryl (Caleb) Self, Alicia Weber, Tate and Teegen Scherr, Breanna (Ryan) Dralle, Bradyn (Jenna) Burgad, Faith and Luke Eberle and one great-grandchild on the way; sisters, Janice Umber, Linton and Shirley (Alex) Jahner, Linton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wilbur (Anna Laura) and Freddie Weber; infant sister, Vivian; sisters, Alma (Ralph) Kremer, Luella (Edwin) Ohlhauser, Viola (Arnold) Ohlhauser and Velma (Harlin) Ohlhauser; and brother-in-law, Harold Umber.
