Obituary

On September 20, 2020, Myron Davis Hauff left this heavenly world after a long battle with cancer, with family and friends by his side. He was 73 years old.

Myron Davis Hauff was born September 8, 1947.  He was the son of Dave M. and Annetta (Dittus) Hauff and grew up on the family farm southwest of Kulm.  He graduated in 1966 from Kulm High School and proudly served his country from 1966 to 1968 in the Army and was stationed in Germany for much of that time.  After his military service, he worked for some time at the oil fields in Wyoming and the Homestake Mine in Lead, South Dakota.  He returned to Kulm area in 1970 and married Debora G. Wells.  While in Kulm, he worked for the Farmers Union/Cenex station and then was manager of the NAPA Auto Parts store.  Myron enjoyed old cars car shows, the Sturgis bike rally, hunting and fishing.  He never missed a happy hour with his friends.  He also served as a volunteer fireman for many years, was a lifelong member of the Kulm American Legion and really enjoyed helping others, especially those in the local community.

Myron leaves behind his loving wife Deb, and three children: David (Missy) Hauff of Ashley, Keith (Wendy) Hauff of Oakes and Holly (Don) Aberle of Barnesville, MN and ten grandchildren: Dakota, Montana, Chase, Tessa, Colton, John, Malen, Marden, Micah, and Jaxson; and one great grandson Bentley.  In addition, he leaves two brothers Darvin Hauff of Fargo and Donald Hauff of Minnetonka, MN.  He was preceded in death by his mother, father and one sister Diana Davis.

The family extends appreciation and gratitude to the Red River Valley Hospice for the compassionate care they provided.  Honorary Pallbearers are all his grandchildren and his great grandson.

Services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 1:00pm at the Kulm Community Center.
