The funeral for Melvin R. Rudolph, Bismarck, formerly of Napoleon, ND will be Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the Dahlstrom Funeral Home at 11:00 AM at Napoleon, ND. Visitation will be 9 AM to 11 AM on Wednesday at the Dahlstrom Funeral Home of Napoleon, ND. Burial will be in the Napoleon City Cemetery.
Melvin Rudolph, son of George and Anna (Martell) Rudolph was born October 9, 1931 in rural Logan County, northeast of Napoleon, ND. Melvin spent his early years living on the family farm and attending country school in Logan County. In the early 1950's Melvin helped build the Garrison Dam, and later was drafted into the United States Army. After discharge he worked for various farmers in the Napoleon area, and later as a construction worker. He was a member of the Napoleon American Legion Barry Hoff Post 72. Melvin enjoyed reading, visiting with friends and family.
Melvin died Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Baptist Home, Bismarck, ND. He was 80 years old.
Melvin is survived by three sisters, Mavis Wolf, Napoleon, ND; Marlys Strom, Steele, ND; Coleen (Charles) Peck, Underwood, ND, and many nieces and nephews.
