The funeral for MaryAnn Brunner, 79, Napoleon, ND will be Monday, August 22, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Salem United Methodist Church at Napoleon, ND. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM with a prayer service at 5:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon, ND. Burial will be at the Napoleon City Cemetery, Napoleon, ND.

MaryAnn Jacobson was born January 2, 1932 to Joseph and Gunhild (Carlquist/Rosell) Jacobson at home in Crystal Springs, ND. Around 1938 the family moved to Dawson, ND where MaryAnn attended school and worked in the grocery store. MaryAnn married Dale Brunner April 26, 1955 at Napoleon, ND. They had seven children. Although MaryAnn's first priority was always her family and her children, once her children were grown, she went to work at the Wishek Nursing Home and the K&L Café at Napoleon, ND. After being diagnosed with breast cancer in January of 2009, she entered the Napoleon Nursing Home where she enjoyed reading, doing word find puzzles, listening to music and just visiting with all of the residents, the wonderful staff and many visitors. MaryAnn had an extremely quick wit personality and was always first to have a comeback. She enjoyed the ribbings she would get from her grandchildren when she would talk about "the old times". She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends.

MaryAnn died Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the Napoleon Care Center, Napoleon, ND under the care of Prairie View Hospice. She was 79 years old.
