Mary Fettig, 89, of Napoleon, ND, passed away on October 26, 2022, at the Napoleon Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 10:30 AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Napoleon. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be held at St. Philip Neri Catholic Cemetery, Napoleon. A livestream of Mary's funeral service will be available on the St. Philip Neri Facebook and YouTube pages

Mary A. Fettig daughter of Anton C. and Dorothea (Haegele) Wald was born April 12, 1933, in Napoleon ND.  She married John Bridges and together raised two children.  Mary lived in multiple locations including Washington, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and North Dakota. In August 1979 she married Frances J. Laurent and owned and worked as a baker/cake decorator for 11 years until Frances' death.  Later she moved back to Napoleon, ND where she met and was married to Frank A. Fettig for 19 years.  Mary continued to enjoy baking and decorating her fabulous wedding cakes for many years. She was a longtime member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Her favorite part of the day was spending time praying and going to church.  She enjoyed bingo, walking daily and playing cards too. She entered the Napoleon Care center April 2021.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Donna Harsdorff (Harvey Speight fiancée); stepchildren, Raye Ann Laurent Tiedemann (John), Frances Laurent Jr., Frank (Rosanne) Fettig, Robert (Jackie) Fettig, Mary Ann Porter (Ben Piatz), Diane (Tom) Quinn, Mary Kathy (Dale) Chmielewski; Grandchildren, Heidi Bowers (Cory), Billy Harsdorff, James Bridges Jr. (Monica), Pauline Bridges; step grandchildren, Mary Tiedemann, John Tiedemann IV, Mark Laurent, Amy Laurent, Heidi Knoll (Mark), Kelsey Toepke (Camden),  Ryan Porter (Jessica), Matthew Porter (Amanda), Amber Quinn, Stephanie Keaton (Steve),  Aaron Quinn, Amy Steinle (Zach), Austin Chmielewski; 4 Great grandchildren; 20 step great grandchildren; Sisters, Idora Schmidt (Leo), Cyrella Wangler; brother Conrad Wald (Pat).

Mary was preceded in death by husbands, Frances Laurent and Frank A. Fettig; Son, James Wayne Bridges (surviving daughter-in-law Joyce Bridges); Brothers Leo Wald (Rose), Joseph Wald (Pauline), Louie Wald (Johanna); Sisters Veronica Henley (Dennis), Barbara Schmaltz (Adam); brothers-in-law, John Engelhardt and Andy Wangler.
