The funeral for Marvin Huber, Wishek, ND will be Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church at Wishek, ND. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. Burial will be at the Wishek City Cemetery, Wishek, ND.


Marvin son of Jacob and Pauline (Haas) Huber was born October 3, 1937 on the family homestead rural Wishek, ND. He grew up and attended rural school in the Wishek area. After his schooling he began farming on the family homestead. Marvin married Phyllis Bertsch June 7, 1959 at Eureka, SD. They made their home on the family homestead and have continued to farm there until the present time. In 1994 he started Huber Septic Pumping and Backhoe Service. Marvin was a member of the Wishek School Board serving as President for many years. He also served on the South Central Special Education Unit for over 10 years and served as President of that Board. Marvin was a member of the Wishek Baptist Church, Wishek Eagles and Jaycees. Marvin enjoyed bowling, camping, restoring antique cars, tractors and windmills. He loved the outdoors and raising cattle.

Marvin died Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. He was 74 years old.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Phyllis, Wishek, ND; two sons, Ken (Polly) Huber, Wishek, ND; Kevin (Jessica) Huber, Hazelton, ND; one daughter, Sheila (Mike) Smith, Safety Harbor, FL; two brothers, Ted Huber, Pierre, SD and Vern Huber, Bismarck, ND; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
