The funeral for Marion Bartle, LaMoure, ND will be Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Dickey United Methodist Church, Dickey, ND. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at the Dickey City Cemetery.


Marion Sophia Conrad, daughter of Henry and Lydia (Spoerl) Conrad was born February 3, 1914 at Marion, ND. She attended 12 years of school and graduated Valedictorian from Marion High School. Marion went to West Fargo to work at the Armour Meat Packing Plant. Marion married LeRoy Bartle on November 10, 1946 in Iowa. They farmed near Dickey until 1964 at which time they moved to a farm near LaMoure, ND. They retired and moved into Dickey in 1969. Marion was always active in the Methodist Church, teaching Sunday school and an active member of the Ladies Aid. She was active in WCTU and was the ND State President for 12 years. Marion was a Charter member of the Dickey – Adrian Friendly Folk. Marion loved to read, do embroidery, cook, bake, can and garden.


Marion died Sunday, March 21, 2010 at St. Rose Care Center, LaMoure, ND. She was 96 years old.

Marion is survived by many nieces and nephews, great, great-great and 3 great-great-great nieces and nephews.
