The funeral for Lydia Werre, Wishek, ND will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, ND at 1:30 PM. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery in Wishek, ND.

Lydia Reich, daughter of Adam and Katherine (Weber) Reich was born June 19, 1917 on the family farm in rural McIntosh County 13 miles west of Wishek. Lydia attended rural elementary school and lived at home until her marriage to Reinhard Werre on March 29, 1937. They lived with his parents until 1940 when they purchased a farm 13 miles northwest of Wishek. In 1946 they purchased a farm 7 miles west of Wishek living there until they semi retired and moved into Wishek in 1976. They moved into the Home Apartments in 1999. When Reinhard died in 2006 Lydia continued to live there until 2014 when she moved to Evergreen Assisted Living Center in Fargo, to be closer to her son and his wife. In September of 2016 she moved to Elim Care Center.

Lydia passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Elim Care Center with her son at her side. She was 99 years old.

Lydia is survived by her son, Elmer (Eileen) Werre, Fargo, ND; three grandchildren, Mitchell, Fargo, ND, Jonathan, Los Angeles, CA and Michelle Miller, Moorhead, MN; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Adam Reich Aberdeen, SD; Edward (JoAnn) Reich Garrison, ND; three sisters, Erna Schwindt, Jamestown, ND; Bertha Schwindt, Wishek, ND; Alvina Brandner, Bismarck, ND and several nieces and nephews.
