Lorraine Aberle, 74, of Fargo, formerly of Wishek, ND, passed away, December 15, 2020, in Fargo. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at 10:30 AM, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Wishek. Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Wishek. Visitation will be on Friday, December 18, 2020, from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. A livestream of Lorraine's funeral service will be available on the Dahlstrom Funeral Service Facebook page.
Lorraine was born July 18, 1946, near Wishek, ND to Anton & Christina (Gross) Vetter. She attended country school and High School in Napoleon and Wishek. After graduating high school Lorraine attended College at Ellendale State receiving her teaching degree. Lorraine married Joe Aberle Jr. on June 3 rd , 1967, and moved to Lodi, California. They were blessed by the birth of Jeffrey, and the identical twins Jonett and Joenell. Lorraine loved to tell the story of how Jonett had her first helicopter ride right after she was born. Lorraine and the family moved back to Lincoln, ND, just outside of Bismarck. In 1982 Lorraine and the family moved to Wishek where they made their home to be closer to family. Lorraine held numerous jobs over her life and her favorite one was being a substitute teacher for her brother Alois.
Lorraine was baptized, confirmed and married at St. Anthony Catholic church near Napoleon. Lorraine's Catholic faith was strong and was the President of Altar Society Saint Patrick's church in Wishek and taught religion classes. Lorraine was a homemaker and made a wonderful home for all her family and friends. Lorraine always had a meal or goodies to share when visiting her home, one never left hungry when visiting Lorraine. Lorraine had a passion for growing beautiful flowers and having a huge vegetable garden. Lorraine again loved to share the bounty of her garden with all. Lorraine loved to pass the time with doing embroidery, quilting and baking. Lorraine loved Christmas and Christmas was her favorite Holiday. Her house would be decorated with all the Christmas festivities including, having a Santa in the window. Santa Claus always made an appearance to hand out gifts at her Christmas party. Lorraine loved to bake Christmas goodies and always had a full table of goodies ready to share. Lorraine's hugs will be missed by all as there was always one given upon leaving her house.
Lorraine was a loving, Mother, Wife, and Grandmother. She is survived by, Joe Aberle, Jeff (Audrey) Aberle, of Fargo, ND, Joenell (Brad) Bachman, of West Fargo, ND, and Jonett Wanner, West Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Landon and Carrie Jo Aberle, Fargo ND, Henry and Harold Bachman, West Fargo, ND, and Amber (Patrick) Sherman, Fargo, ND; brothers, Martin Vetter, Napoleon ND, and Richard Vetter, West Fargo ND; sisters, Chris Bitz, Bismarck, ND, Irene Kuhn, Napoleon, ND, and Barb Volochenko, Balfour, ND.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Christina Vetter; brothers, Alois Vetter, Joe T Vetter, Tony Vetter, Matthias Vetter; sister, Marcy Goven.
