The funeral for Leona Miller, Streeter, ND will be Friday, August 24, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Lehr Seventh Day Adventist Church, Lehr, ND. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home of Wishek, ND. Burial will be at the Lehr City Cemetery, Lehr, ND.


Leona Margery Flemmer, daughter of Fred and Eva (Stotz) Flemmer was born August 23, 1920 on the family farm southwest of Napoleon, ND. The family later moved to a farm southwest of Streeter in German Township where she grew to womanhood and received her elementary education in the Streeter Flat area. She attended Sheyenne River Academy at Harvey, ND for one year. On June 26, 1941 she was united in marriage to Herman Miller. They lived on the farm 13 miles south of Streeter, ND where she lived until shortly before her death.


Leona passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. She was 91 years old.

Leona is survived by two sons, Larry (Linda) Miller, Gresham, OR and Jerry (Sharon) Miller, Streeter, ND; four grandchildren, Connie Miller, Portland, OR; Crystal (Byron) Harwood, Beaverton, OR; Resa Miller, Jamestown, ND and Justin Miller, Streeter, ND; two great-grandchildren, Anthony and Tamara Harwood, Beaverton, OR; four sisters, Alvina (Clarence) Heitzmann, McClusky, ND; Edna Hollenbeck, Bessemer, MI; Eldina Heinrich, Eustis, FL; Olga (Floyd) Rodin, Jamestown, ND and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman, her brother, Herbert Flemmer, sister-in-law, Sarah (Miller) Flemmer and three brothers-in-law, Denny Hollenbeck, Marvin Lang and Art Heinrich.
