The funeral for Lea Just, Wishek, ND will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM St Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, ND.  Visitation will be held Friday, March 15, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND.  Burial will be at St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery, Wishek, ND.

Lea Hochhalter, daughter of Emanuel and Maria Magdalena (Ketterling) Hochhalter was born May 1, 1930 on the family farmstead 4 miles west of Wishek, ND.  Lea attended rural school west of Wishek, ND area.  She was united in marriage to Albert Just on October 17, 1948 at Wishek, ND.  They made their home north of Wishek, ND where they farmed and ranched.  Lea worked as a waitress and cook's assistant at the Wishek Eagles Club.  Lea enjoyed playing Pinochle, Bingo, doing jigsaw puzzles, embroidery, cooking, and baking. She was known for her kuchen, bread, and rolls. Albert passed away on February 22, 1996. Lea continued to reside on the family farm until May 18, 2018, at which time she entered the Wishek Living Center.

Lea died Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Wishek Community Hospital in Wishek, ND.  She was 88 years old.

Lea is survived by two sons, Gene (Ramona) Just, Jamestown, ND, James Just, Wishek, ND; one daughter, Nancy Kay (Perry) Betsch, Ashley, ND; two grandchildren, Jason Just, and Bridget Just; and two great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Lorrene Hochhalter, and Verna Hochhalter, Wishek, ND.  Lea was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, her parents, three brothers, Reinhold, Gottfried, and Calvin, one brother-in-law, Elmer Meidinger, one sister-in-law, LaVina Hochhalter and one sister, Luella Meidinger, who recently passed away on March 11, 2019.
