The funeral for Kasmier M. Wald, 84, Wishek, ND will be Friday, March 25, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Luke Lutheran Church at Wishek, ND. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home at Wishek, ND and from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM with a rosary service at 7:00 PM and a prayer service to follow at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Wishek, ND. Kasmier died Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Wishek, ND.

Kasmier son of Moritz and Christine (Miller) Wald was born September 27, 1926 at rural McIntosh County. ND. He grew up on the family farm and attended country school. Kasmier married Annie Wolf on October 2, 1945 at St. Joseph Catholic Church rural Linton, ND. They farmed on his parent's farm until moving into Wishek in October of 2007. Kasmier was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, KC's, and Eagles. He enjoyed playing cards, sightseeing, snowmobiling and trail riding. Kasmier loved dancing to old time music (especially Polka) and singing with the Young German Singers for 20 years. Kasmier loved spending time with family. Kasmier was a man that helped people in many ways.

Kasmier died Monday, March 21, 2011 under the care of Prairie View Hospice of Wishek at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. He was 84 years old.

Kasmier is survived by his loving wife Ann of 65 years, Wishek, ND; two sons, Larry Wald, Wishek, ND; Donnie Wald and special friend Brenda Stockkert, Bismarck, ND; three daughters, Bernice Vetter, Wishek, ND; Lorraine (Tom) Hilzendeger, Bismarck, ND; Addie (Bill) Lea, Bismarck, ND; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren and nine great-stepgrandchildren; one brother, Joe Wald, Wishek, ND.
