June Kemmet was born June 15, 1938 to Edward and Lydia (Salzer) Roth.  June married Oscar Kemmet on August 28, 1955.

June was an active and faithful member of the Faith Community Church and was a member of the Lydia Society and later Martha Aid. She was a member of the McIntosh County Housing Board for 24 years and also worked at the Wishek School as a sub-cook for 25 years, a job which she loved. She also was a lifelong member of the Eagles, delivered meals on wheels and provided transportation to friends.

Farming was her way of life even after moving to town. Flowers and decorating were among June's passions. She was proud of her large collection of salt and pepper shakers. Her evenings were spent knitting for her family and charity.

June is survived by her husband Oscar of 63 years and four children, Pat (Dave) Badgley – Wahpeton and their children David (Kristina) Badgley and Jason Badgley; Polly (Ken) Huber – Wishek and their children Karista (Mike) Kaseman and Kasandra (Robbie) Wald; Wayne (Laurie) Kemmet – Venturia and their children Jill (Corey) Berger and Michael (Erin) Kemmet; Jackie (Kordell) Bauer – Bismarck and their children Sara (Brian) Albrecht and Kole (MiKaela Forester) Bauer.

June's true passion was her eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild due in August.

She entered into eternal peace February 20, 2019, after a short cancer battle, at the Wishek Community Hospital.  She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Geneva Olstad and brother-in-law Larry Kemmet.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the Faith Community Church Parsonage kitchen fund.
