The funeral for Judy Brandner, Zeeland, ND will be Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Luke Lutheran Church at Wishek, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 7:30 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. Burial will be at St. Andrews Cemetery rural Wishek, ND.

Judy Nitschke, daughter of Rudolph and Amelia (Nitschke) Nitschke was born November 29, 1946 at Eureka, SD. She grew up and attended rural school then attended Ashley Public School, graduating in 1964. Judy worked on the family farm before she was united in marriage to Milton Brandner April 9, 1967 at Zion Lutheran Church at Ashley, ND. They lived at Ashley and Wishek until the fall of 1969, when they moved to their present farmstead at rural Zeeland. Judy worked at the Ashley Nursing Home from 1984 to 1990 and 11 years at the Alzheimer's Unit at the Wishek Home for the Aged. She clerked for Brandner Auction Service from 1976 to 2001.


Judy died Saturday, July 23, 2011 at St. Alexius Medical Center at Bismarck, ND. She was 64 years old.

Judy is survived by her husband, Milton, Zeeland, ND; two sons, Daniel (Julie) Brandner, Wishek, ND; David Brandner, Zeeland, ND; two daughters, Renae (David) Silbernagel, Moffit, ND; Karoline (Matthew) Schmal, Shippensburg, PA; one brother, Gerald (Janice) Nitschke, Mandan, ND; one sister, Rosalyn (Melvin) Meidinger, Wishek, ND; 10 grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
