Joyce Haag, 88 of Wishek, formerly of Fredonia, ND, passed away June 11, 2022 at the Wishek Living Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Fredonia. A recording of Joyce's funeral service will be available at www.dahlstromfuneralservice.com under her obituary.

Joyce was born in Delmont, SD, the third child of 11 to be born to Edgar and Martha (Jerke) Ziebart.  The family soon relocated to the Jerke farm west of Fredonia ND.

Joyce went to school until 8 th grade, then worked at the coop-store in Fredonia until becoming a nurse's aide and trainee in SD.  She then opted for the life on the farm when she married her childhood neighbor Harold Haag.  The two farmed together west of Fredonia.  In her 40's Joyce again pursued her greatest love, that as a CNA in the Wishek Hospital and Wishek Nursing Home.  If you wanted to have a rich conversation with Joyce, you could not go wrong in bringing up either farming or work in the caring of others.

Joyce and Harold had two children, Velma (Dan Conway) and Keith (Kathy).  From that came 5 grandchildren, Megan Praus (Kirk and daughter Harlow), Jake Haag (Xandria, children Roland and Valentina), Eric and Mckenzie, and Rachel Bartlett (Tony, children Jackson and Juniper).

Joyce and Harold moved to Wishek, ND when Harold retired.  After Harold passed away in 2003 Joyce moved to Kulm, ND to be closer to family.  She later moved to Wishek Assisted Living.

Joyce is survived by her children, grandchildren and greats, and by six of her siblings.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and 4 siblings.

Many thanks to her dear friend Kay Rau, and to the CNA's and nurses at Wishek Living Center who gave such tender, loving care through mom's final years.

In leiu of flowers the family asks that you offer a memorial which will go to scholarships for CNA's and nurses in the area.
