Joseph J Schumacher, 74, Napoleon, ND passed away May 24, 2021, in Napoleon.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 28th, 2021 at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon, ND.   Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Bismarck.

Joe was born December 11, 1946 to Peter and Loretta (Wentz) Schumacher.  He grew up in Napoleon.  He enlisted in the US Army at the age of 18 and was stationed in Germany until 1972.  He returned to Bismarck, ND to work with his father's Construction Company.  He eventually took over the company named Schumacher Lawn and Bobcat.  He married Brenda Caldwell in 1977.  Joe later went on to driving truck until retiring in November of 2020.  It was then that he moved back to Napoleon.

Joe enjoyed Bowling, working on trucks, playing pinochle, riding motorcycles, cracking jokes, and spending time with his family.

Joe is survived by his wife, Brenda, Napoleon; sons, Thierry (Kim) Lesueur, Park City, Utah, Dustin (Lexi) Schumacher, Mandan; grandchildren, Stefan, Madi, Kourtney, Jaxson, Heaven, Jayda, Kayson; great-grandchild, Ivory; sisters, Veronica (Tuddy), Twyla, Sheila, Eva, Debi; brother, Roger Schumacher

Joe was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Peter Jr. and Bob Schumacher; and sister, Gloria.
