The funeral for Joseph Kuhn, Napoleon, ND will be Friday, September 6, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church at Napoleon, ND. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon, ND. Burial will be at the St. Philip Neri Catholic Cemetery, Napoleon, ND.

Joseph G. Kuhn son of Pius and Katherine (Schumacher) Kuhn was born August 12, 1937 in Logan County. Joseph married Irene Vetter November 20, 1965 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. They farmed on the John Weigel farm for one year before moving to Lodi, CA where Joe worked at Gehrings Meat Plant. In 1972, they moved back to North Dakota where they farmed on the family farm until October 2006. Even after they moved to town, Joe continued to drive to the farm every day. His pride and joy were his 5 grandchildren. Joe was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and the Golden Age. He also served as a trustee for the St. Boniface Parish.


Joe died Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, ND. He was 76 years old.

Joe is survived by his wife, Irene Kuhn, Napoleon, ND; two children, James (Stephanie) Kuhn, Napoleon, ND and Jolene (Curt) Christofferson, Napoleon, ND; five grandchildren, Emily, Abby, Elodie, Reagen and Hudson; six sisters, Anne Nolz, Napoleon, ND; Delores (John) Becker, Napoleon, ND; Helen (Pius) Ternes, Bismarck, ND; Betty (Richard) Kuntz, Grand Forks, ND; Barbara (Andy) Hilzendeger, Napoleon, ND and Mary (Jerry) Rattei, Napoleon, ND; two brothers, John (Leona) Kuhn, Napoleon, ND and Leo (Ida) Kuhn, Lodi, CA.
