The funeral for Johnny Glatt, Napoleon, ND will be Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Napoleon, ND. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon. Burial will be at the Napoleon City Cemetery.

Johnny was born July 28, 1942 to Roy and Theresa (Kambeitz) Glatt south of Napoleon on the family farmstead. He was the youngest boy, being the 11th of 14 children. Johnny graduated from Napoleon High School in 1961. He volunteered for two years in the United States Army. On September 6, 1961 he went to Fort Leonardwood, Missouri for basic training for eight weeks. Johnny left by ship from New York and arrived in Brimington, Germany. He then boarded the train to Brodeaux, France. He was stationed there from December 1961 to September 1963. Johnny married the love of his life, Pan Lang on February 20, 1971 at Trinity Lutheran Church at Napoleon. They were married for 43 years and together they were blessed with three children, Michael, Randy and Alesha. Johnny farmed until 1995. He then went trucking over the entire United States for 16 years, driving many, many miles throughout the years. In 2011, Johnny started driving truck for South Central Grain in Napoleon, where he was currently employed.

Johnny enjoyed life. He had a great attitude about everything and he always had a smile on his face. He was the happiest when he was with his family, whom he was very proud of. His grandchildren walker, Paxton, Berklee, Preston and John meant the whole world to him. He spent many hours doing things with them, never saying no to them.

Johnny died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Sanford Health at Bismarck, ND. He was 72 years old.

(JoAnne), Eugene (Rita); his sisters, Marcella (Julius) Leier, Eleanor Magrum, Bernie Wagner, Bettie McLeish and Margie (Mark) Marshall; sister-in-law, Johanna Glatt; brothers-in-law, Pete Schneider and Willie Wangler and many nieces and nephews. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Theresa Glatt, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Albert and Leona Lang, his brother Joseph, his sisters, Maggie, Lorraine and Helen, his brothers –in-law, Carl Wentz, Vincent Magrum, Stephen McLeish and Wayne Lang.
