Obituary

The funeral mass for Genevieve "Jenny" Margaret (Roehrich) Kraft, 85, Napoleon, will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11:30 AM at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church, Napoleon, ND with Fr. Don Leiphon officiating. A wake service will be held at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Napoleon, ND. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in the St. Philip Neri Catholic Cemetery. Jenny went peacefully to meet Jesus November 19, 2011, at the Napoleon Care Center.



Jenny was born March 28, 1926, in St. Anthony south of Napoleon, to Joseph and Barbara (Voeller) Roehrich. She grew up in Napoleon where she graduated from High School. She was a secretary at an airbase in Newport News, VA during the war then a country school teacher when she returned home.


Jenny was married to Ben Kraft for twenty years and had six children. She was employed at the Napoleon Care Center for ten years in the activities department and then at the Napoleon Elementary School as an Aid.


She always enjoyed picnics and playing a card game called "Book" with friends and family on a regular basis. She also loved going to singles dances around ND with friends where she enjoyed dancing to polkas and waltzes. Her hobby was taking lots of pictures and videos of her children and grandchildren and she enjoyed watching them at sporting and music events.


She is survived by 2 sisters, Irene (Roehrich) Brunner and Phyllis (Roehrich) Johnson; 5 children, Sandra Kraft, St. Petersburg, FL, Dennis (Kathleen) Kraft, Detroit Lakes, MN, Duane (Regina) Kraft, Mandan, Tim (Marla) Kraft, Wilton, Shar (Gene) Dukart, Bismarck; 11 grandchildren; Glen Kraft, Dan Kraft, Kelly Sommerfeld, Heather-Jo Jamesgaard, Carrie Grinsteinner, Leslie Kraft, Christopher Kraft, Jeremy Kraft, Bernard Kraft, Brian Leier and Brittany Leier and 7 great grandchildren; Miranda, Alyssa, Rabecca, Skylar, Kaylin, Cheyenne, and Gavin.


She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Edward, Joseph and Henry; 5 sisters, Viola, Helen, Hildegard, Lillian, and Barbara; 1 infant son, Kevin.
