Jeanette Kienzle's Obituary
The funeral for Jeanette Kienzle, Wishek, ND will be Saturday, November 5, 2011 at St. Luke Lutheran Church at 1:30 PM at Wishek, ND. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. Burial will be St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery, Wishek, ND.
Jeanette was born December 15, 1926 on the family farm northwest of Ashley, ND, the daughter of Oscar and Emelia (Kempf) Baumann. Jeanette grew up on the family farm and graduated from Ashley High School. She taught country school at Albrights Valley School District, in rural McIntosh County for two years. On June 22, 1947 Jeanette married Clarence Kienzle at Zion Lutheran Church, in Ashley, ND. They moved to Wishek in 1954. Jeanette was employed at the Wishek Home for the Aged for 24 years, working in the Dietary Department as a cook. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Civic League, and Beaver Valley Golf Club. Jeanette enjoyed baking, cooking and playing cards. Jeanette excelled at making guests and family comfortable with wonderful meals and warm lively conversation. She was known to many for her heart of gold and will be remembered by her deep love for everyone she encountered and her easy going presence.
Jeanette died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND. She was 84 years old.
Jeanette is survived by her five children, Tom (Marlys) Kienzle, Bismarck, ND; Peggy Kienzle, Tampa, FL; Steve (Nancy) Kienzle, Dickinson, ND; Mike (Sandy) Kienzle, Bismarck, ND and Gina (Dale) Nygaard, Colorado Springs, CO; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, one brother, Raymond (Hildegarde) Baumann, Ashley, ND; two sisters-in-law, Sally Baumann, Ashley, ND; Norma Kienzle, Bismarck, ND; many nieces and nephews; and a special group of ladies "The Velcro Girls". She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, on October 30, 2001, her parents, one sister, Virginia Wolff, two brothers, Richard Baumann, and Melvin Baumann.
