Jean Jensen daughter of Chris and Cicely (Wahalla) Jensen was born March 3, 1926 at Hayti, SD. After high school graduation (from Lake Norden, SD) Jean moved to Minneapolis, MN and did secretarial work. There she met Walter R. Sayler of Wishek, ND and they were married in 1952. Together they had three daughters: Roxanne (Lorren) Henke of Wishek, ND; Kimberly (Scott) Anderson of Raleigh, NC; and Ann (Steve) Jensen, of Excelsior, MN. After a long illness, her husband, Walter, passed away in 1971. In 1979 Jean married Rev. Reinhold (Reiny) Klein. They were married for thirty-three years. Jean and Reiny divided their time between their home in Wishek and many favorite spots as they motor-homed across the country visiting friends and relatives (and making new friends). Jean was a wonderful homemaker and devoted herself to her family and friends. She loved nothing better than making carmel rolls and banana cream pie for her kids and grandkids. For a short time (after Walter's passing) she assumed the presidency of the Security State Bank. Jean was a member of the UCC Church and belonged to the Lydia Society. She was a charter member of Good Will Ambassadors Club and received an award for her longtime dedication to the organization. Jean was known for her sense of humor (which she kept until the very end) and for humorous handmade personalized birthday cards.
Jean passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the Wishek Living Center, Wishek, ND. She was 86 years old.
