The celebration of her life service for Jacqueline Klettke will be held at the Kulm Congregational Church, Kulm, ND on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at the Kulm Congregational Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Jacqueline was born to Lucas and Hulda (Dickhoff) Moldenhauer on July 11, 1932 in McIntosh County, North Dakota. Jacqueline was the third child born of 16 to that family. She went to a country school in the Ashley area and then proceeded to move to Kulm, North Dakota with her best friend Betty where they graduated with High School Diplomas from Kulm High School. She then worked as a teacher in a country school in North Dakota. She united in marriage to Richard Klettke on June 22, 1952. They were blessed with a son, Kim and a daughter, Vicki. The couple farmed near Kulm, North Dakota. In 1967 they moved from the farm into Kulm where Jacqueline was employed at the Kulm Public School System as a cook. The kids always came for seconds as she was a very good cook. Jacqueline also worked part time at her sister Fern's department store in Kulm. Jacqueline was an excellent seamstress as well and did alterations and custom sewing out of her home. Jacqueline was a lifetime member of the Whitestone Homemakers Club and worked the concession stand at Whitestone Battlefield Park during the summer. Jackie enjoyed entertaining her family and friends in her home on numerous occasions. She loved taking care of her 3 grandchildren and played many games of Uno with them. She was a long-time member of the Congregational Church in Kulm and served on many committees there.
Jacqueline Joy Klettke passed away to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Mother Jo Nursing Home, Aberdeen, South Dakota at the age of 88.
Jacqueline is survived by her son Kim (Carolyn) Klettke, her daughter, Vicki (Jim) Scepaniak, 3 grandchildren, Lucas Klettke (Kari), Brock Klettke (Jamie), Mandy Scepaniak, 6 great grandchildren and 2 brothers Curtis Moldenhauer, Jerry Moldenhauer (Denise) and 2 sisters, Gloria Teske and Fern Buerkle.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, Vernon Moldenhauer, Myron Moldenhauer, Donovan Moldenhauer, Dennis Moldenhauer, Dwight Moldenhauer, Monte Moldenhauer and 5 sisters, Grace Fischer, Phyllis Entzi, Deborah Entzi, Mavis Hanson and Angela Moldenhauer.
