Jack Theodore Erbele, 64, of Lehr, ND, passed away from health issues on Saturday, September 21st, 2024 at South Central Health, Wishek. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 27, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Prairie Bible Camp Tabernacle, Lehr. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 5:30-7:30 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM at Feist Funeral Home, Wishek. Burial will be held at the Lehr Cemetery. A livestream of Jack's funeral service will be available on the funeral home website.
Jack was born in Lehr, ND, on January 29, 1960 to Teddy and Elda (Ketterling) Erbele. Jack graduated from Lehr High School in 1980. He married Beth (Pauley) Erbele on May 30, 1987 in Harlan, Iowa. Together they had three children, Megan, Scott, and Andrew.
Jack joined the National Guard after high school and was in the service for six years. He grew up and worked on the family farm, teaching his sons how to farm, and eventually handed over farming responsibilities to them. He was very involved in the community. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Lehr Fire Department and was very active with the Lehr Wildlife Club. Jack was a member of the Lehr Community Church and served as a trustee. He was also involved with the Logan County Historical Society and served as a Logan County Commissioner for 12 years. In 2016, he started working for the Logan County Highway Maintenance and worked there for five years.
Jack was a loving husband, father, and grandfather (Papa). He was known for his kindness, good-natured demeanor, and friendly personality with everyone he met. He loved visiting with people and spending time on the farm.
Jack is survived by his wife, Beth of 37 years of marriage; three children: Megan Bevers (Daniel) of Las Vegas, NV, Scott Erbele (Paulina) of Lehr, ND, and Andrew Erbele (Kristin) of Streeter, ND; six grandchildren: Paul, Copper, Oliver, Waylon, Clayton, Weston (and one grandchild on the way); and his brother Jeff Erbele (Candee) of Denver, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents Teddy and Elda Erbele, his brother Jim Nagel, and sister-in-law Blanche Nagel.
