The funeral for Irene Sayler, Bismarck, ND formerly of Wishek, ND will be Monday, February 27, 2017 at St. Luke Lutheran Church at 10:30 AM. Burial will be at St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery, Wishek, ND. Visitation will be Sunday with a prayer service at 3:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND.

Irene Just daughter of Christof C. and Emma (Thurn) Just was born April 16, 1927 at the family home 13 miles southwest of Wishek. She attended rural school and graduated from the eighth grade. Irene lived on the family farm until her marriage to Ludwig Sayler, son of Edward J. Sayler and Christina (Weisser) Sayler on January 20, 1949. Irene and her husband Ludwig farmed 10 miles west of Wishek. They moved into the city of Wishek in 1974. She was employed at the Wishek Nursing Home for 20 years before retiring. Irene and Ludwig moved to Bismarck in 2009.

Irene died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Baptist Health Care Center at Bismarck, ND. She was 89 years old.

Irene is survived by her son, Steven (Karen) Sayler, Wishek, ND and her daughter, Peggy (Gerald) Weigel, Bismarck, ND; Children of Steve and Karen are Lance (Tammy) Sayler and children Sydney, Brooklyn, Raleigh; Liza Jo (Paul) Rasmussen and Celia; Lacey (Preston) Schaffner and Lilly and expecting two great grandchildren. Children of Peggy and Gerald Weigel are Cathy (Michael) Trahan and children Mason, Connor and Mylie; Jolaine (Mike) Ibach, and children Matthew and Ethan; Scott Weigel and son Kai. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ludwig, parents, Christ C. and Emma Just, siblings, Daniel, Gayhart, Norvin, Christof F. and Herbert Just, Emilee Just, Lydia Sayler and Hilda Meidinger.
